I want to thank Sheri York from Antoine River Kennel for our beautiful puppy Lucy. She was very professional, and when we got to their house, she was sitting in the yard playing with our puppy. When I first talked to Sheri I had lost my Jack to a snake bit. I was heart broken and looking for a new companion. When I first contacted Sheri she did not have any puppies. Sheri is not running a puppy mill. All her dogs are well cared for and loved. She took my name. I checked around with other kennels and decided it was worth the wait. We picked up our little boy Dug from Sheri at Antoine River Kennel on March 3 2022. He has brought so much joy to our home. He is an active fellow chasing squirrels, rabbits and what ever else he can find.
We live near Sheri and we were able to visit Dug before we actually picked him up. Sheri’s kennel is top notch! She keeps the kennel clean. Warm in the winter and cool in summer. She takes care of each puppy as if they are all her babies. She told me “I do because they are my babies till you take them home”. I cannot say enough about how well maintain she keeps the kennel

It had been a while since having a dog, and my son has badly wanted one. We wanted a smaller breed dog, and Sheri’s Jack Russell shorties are absolutely perfect! I found her on the AKC marketplace and from the time I placed my deposit till the time in getting our fur baby Scout, Sheri has been so wonderful. She sent us weekly updates on how he was doing and at time of getting him, the process was so easy. She had all paperwork organized in a folder for me and also a goodie bag with all the things needed for him for starting out. She already had worked with him on house training too, and I can tell he received daily love and attention. He has adapted to us in no time! This has been a very good experience for us. Also, he is very healthy and all vaccines up to date and I received a certificate from veterinarian who checked him thoroughly. I also received all documents on his pedigree including information about his parents. Sheri is very thorough and takes very good care of these babies. It broke my heart to have her put down but she had health problems that were not going to get better. It took my mother and me until around February 2021 to start looking for another JRT. I fell in love with the breed when I got my JP Shortstop in March 2007. I had thought about getting another breed but I just kept wanting another JRT. So I found several kennels that breed them. I recently had the privilege of purchasing an American Hunt Terrier puppy from Sheri and Billy York. I got to pick my little man, Traxx, from the litter when he was about a week old. I wanted a dog to be a companion, and hope to train him to help with wounded game recovery. Bandit is a wonderful dog. We flew through puppy school. Bandit found it way too easy. In fact other than the distraction of having a bunch of puppies in the same place he did all tasks in the first few weeks. He was so board. I was referred to another trainer who specializes in working dogs. She told me she doesn’t train with puppies but after some quick talking on my part she agreed to test him. After he did a 10 minute down stay she agreed to take him into her advanced obedience class. He just loves the work. Learns each task in just a few minutes and is blowing those Dobermans out of the water. They laughed at us at first because he doesn’t fit the mold but he does the work. When he finishes advances obedience I plan to start obstacle training. We already did a small play course. Of course he finished it easily he just needs to do it off leash. Th say he is snare is an understatement. He is everything I could have asked for in a dog. An excellent companion and friend. I just need to keep his mind busy. That’s my challenge. I am sure I will be back to get a companion for him. Another jack is probably the only way to keep up with him. Thank you so much Sheri. He is the best. I will send you some photos when I can. We have been shorty Jack Russell lovers and owners for almost 18 years now. When we began our search for our third newest addition we started asking other shorty owners and was led to Sheri and her adorable JRTs. Our little Moto was only four weeks old when we made our decision. The next task was waiting an intolerable four more weeks before we could bring her home. Sheri was wonderful, each week she would send us updates on her weight, any vet visit notes, along with photos and video so we could see how she was growing. When the day finally came for Moto to come home Sheri and her husband drove over four hours while we did the same meeting halfway. This little furry ball of joy rode an entire day without incident and quickly wound her way into our hearts. Within two days she taught herself how to go down the stairs after our three year old JRT Sprocket and within two more days she was already teaching herself how to go up the stairs. By ten weeks Moto made her first visit to the motocross track and has already ridden the dirt bikes and atv with no fear. Moto is showing us just how intelligent, quick-witted, curious, athletic and agile she is and is developing into. At now twelve weeks she is romping through the woods while we take afternoon hikes and is up to over a mile with no signs of stopping. She swiftly bonded with Sprocket, Apache and us and is working with learning her place with the cats while cuddling up and taking afternoon naps with them. We were heartbroken when we had to say goodbye to our 14 year old baby girl Jack Russell this past August. The house was just too quiet without her; and so we decided we needed to find another shorty Jack right away. What a blessing it was to find Sheri at Antoine River Kennel and add our wonderful boy Boomer to the family! We heard about Sheri through the Short Jack Russells page on Facebook, and all the great recommendations we read came true. After we looked at her website, she sent us several photos and videos of the puppy we had our eyes on, and once we made the commitment to get him, Sheri kept us updated every week, regularly sending new photos and videos, keeping us informed about his vet checkups, and sharing other developmental milestones. As soon as we picked out “Boomer” as his name, she started using it with him, which was great! We drove 1,700 miles round trip to pick Boomer up, and it was worth every mile! Sheri has such a nice set-up for her dogs, and we can sincerely say that he came from a home with as much love for him as we have for him now in ours! Boomer has had a very smooth transition to our house. He’s so smart, full of personality and playfulness, but also so ready to snuggle up for kisses and quiet time. The second night we had him, he slept eight hours through without needing to go out, and he immediately was able to learn to use the doggie door. He loves to fetch and play with his rope tug toys, too. Before we found Boomer, we had an amazingly sweet 15-year-old Jack Russell, Indigo, that we sadly lost to kidney failure, and our hearts were so broken that we thought they’d never be whole again. But in his own gentle, loving way, Boomer has helped us heal. Even though we’ve only had him for a little while, we’ve already talked about adding a second puppy to our family, and we wouldn’t consider getting another Jack from anyone other than Sheri!

Almost a week ago I received Lily from the Bozeman Airport. I picked her out and I received weekly updates. Sheri was very helpful with all the “stupid” questions that I had. I just got a corgi boy from Sheri last week. I was being a little careful when I first contacted Sheri because I was personally being scammed before (and encountered scammers a couple more times) but Sheri eased my concerns right away by providing real time video and photos of the puppies to prove that she does have the puppies with her. We had an absolutely amazing experience buying our baby Pickle from Sheri. I did a lot of research about corgis and ran into some sellers whom I was leery of and the puppies they were selling. When I saw that she had a litter of corgis for sell I began researching her and her kennel. I felt good about buying our baby from her based on Facebook feeds I saw and reviews. Our puppy is perfect for us. We did not want a lap dog, but she loves to be petted. We own a business and she thinks all customers that show up are here to pet her, lol. Sheri we love our girl "Piper" so much <3 She is HOME!!! Our 13 year old Jack Russell "Trixee" passed away 12/2/2012, a very sad day for our family. It has taken us almost a year to decide we had to have another Jack and "Piper" has filled the order. She is beautiful, such a joy and smart as she can be.
